Ep. 76: Defending Bathsheba | Women of the Bible Series Ep. 16

As you can tell by our title we felt a great need to defend our leading lady today as there have been a lot of misconceptions surrounding her story. We grew up hearing preachers and pastors painting such a negative picture of her and as we began diving deeper we realized those things we heard all those years ago aren’t true at all!

It’s so important that we be our own fact checkers. While pastors & preachers are God’s called men to shepherd his flocks we must not get into the habit of just taking their word for it. We should be diligent in doing our own study after all 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us we should study to show ourselves approved. If we would have took the time back in the day to study this woman for ourselves we would have came to a completely different conclusion about her life than the picture those preachers painted.
